Could this be a sign that Universal Pictures will find a way to keep the footage Paul Walker shot before his death in Fast & Furious 7? While the Fast & Furious 7 has temporary shut down production, a new tribute Paul Walker tribute video released by Universal Pictures seems to indicate that the studio is working with Walker’s family to honor his memory.
Universal Pictures released “A Tribute to Paul Walker” video, along with the following statement: Paul Walker’s family appreciates the outpouring of love and goodwill from his many fans and friends. They have asked, in lieu of flowers or other gifts, that donations please be made to Paul’s charity Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW). Donations can easily be made through their website at http://www.ROWW.org/.
Universal Pictures is also donating a portion of the Fast & Furious 6 DVD & Blu-Ray sales to Paul Walker’s charity.
The tribute video included various Paul Walker scenes from Fast & Furious, while Skylar Grey’s I’m Coming Home plays in the background. In one particularly moving scene, Vin Diesel says, “The most important thing in life will always be the people in this room.”
