It's hard to argue with this selection. Jennifer Lawrence has been named the AP Entertainer of the Year for 2013. Seventy ballots were cast by U.S. editors and news directors to select the AP Entertainer of the Year. Lawrence won by one vote, narrowly beating out Miley Cyrus.

By all accounts, Jennifer Lawrence has become one of the most successful young actresses in Hollywood. In 2013, Lawrence won a Best Actress Oscar for her performance in 2012's Silver Linings Playbook. Lawrence also reprised her role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which is currently the second highest grossing movie of 2013 in the United States.

Among comic book fans, Jennifer Lawrence is best known for playing Mystique in X-Men: First Class. She is reprising her role as Mystique in X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is set to be released on May 23, 2014.
