The Walking Dead People's Choice Awards

The Walking Dead was nominated in four different categories at the 40th Annual People's Choice Awards, and the hit AMC TV show wound up winning awards in two categories. The Walking Dead won the People's Choice Award for Favorite Cable TV Drama. Other nominees in the category included Downtown Abbey, Pretty Little Liars, Sons of Anarchy, and White Collar. Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead, accepted the award on the red carpet before the show started. Norman Reedus thanked the fans of the show for the award. During the telecast, Norman Reedus helped present the award for Favorite Action Movie Star to Robert Downey Jr. for his performance in Iron Man 3. After the telecast, it was announced that Andrew Lincoln won the People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Anti-Hero for his portrayal of Rick Grimes on The Walking Dead. Other nominees in the category included Dexter Morgan of Dexter, Jaime Lannister of Game of Thrones, Norman Bates of Bates Motel, and Walter White of Breaking Bad.
