Remember when the Internet exploded after Ben Affleck was cast as Batman and half of Hollywood rushed to Affleck's defense? While there wasn't quite the same level of Internet outrage when Gal Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman in Batman Vs. Superman, some fans have been critical that Gadot is too skinny to play Wonder Woman. Now, Vin Diesel, who has worked with Gadot in the Fast & Furious franchise, has spoken out in support of Gadot's casting as Wonder Woman. Despite the fact that Diesel is working for the competition by playing Groot in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, the Fast & Furious star couldn't be prouder of Gadot's big DC Comics casting news. Vin Diesel posted the photo above to Facebook, and he wrote, "In 2008, she sent in a self made video audition for FF4. Two weeks later, she became Gisele in Our saga… Now, she is Wonder Woman… so proud of you angel. Yeah, to the left... that's Wonder Mom. /smile P.s. Acuérdate… believe in yourself, for it's costs you nothing and often leads to great things." Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on July 17, 2015.
