X-Men Days Of Future Past: First Full Look At Sunspot

Empire Magazine is revealing 25 different covers featuring characters from X-Men: Days of Future Past, the biggest film yet in the X-Men franchise. The latest cover gives us a look at Adan Canto as Sunspot. In the comics, Sunspot possesses the power to absorb solar energy and channel it while in an energized form. He was one of the founding members of the New Mutants and is currently a member of the Avengers. He made his first appearance in Marvel Graphic Novel #4: The New Mutants (1982) and was created by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod. In X-Men: Days of Future Past, the ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods.  The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future. X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released in movie theaters May 23, 2014.
