Dredd: Underbelly

, the comic book sequel to 2012's fan-favorite comic book adaptation Dredd, has sold out at the Diamond Comics Distributors level and will head back to presses for a second printing. Underbelly sold out from distributors before hitting shelves on Wednesday, and is on pace to become one of the most downloaded issues in 2000AD's history. You can get a digital copy here. The new US-format edition will be available to order through Diamond Distribution in February. It will also feature a new and exclusive cover by Jock, the concept and storyboard artist on the 2012 film. Written by Arthur Wyatt and drawn by Henry FlintUnderbelly picks up following the death of Ma-Ma Madrical and sees Judges Dredd and Anderson tackle a new drugs craze. The one-shot, which originally ran in three parts in the Judge Dredd Megazine, is the first time 2000AD has ever produced its own US-format comic specifically for the direct market. An online petition for a sequel to Dredd on film is nearing 100,000 signatures.
