The ratings for Tuesday's episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were just about even with the show's last new episode, drawing a 2.2 share and just over 6.5 million total viewers. Preliminary overnight ratings had the show at a 2.1, down about five percent from its last recorded new episode, but they  were adjusted up somewhat and now it's statistically so close to the overnight ratings for the previous episode that it's not really clear which episode did better. Since that episode, in turn, was roughly on par with the one before that, it is beginning to look like the series--the narrative for which has been a free-fall in the ratings over the course of the season--has finally found a level. Two episodes ago, the show was declared to have hit another new series low, only to be adjusted up and instead only have tied the previous low. With solid reviews for the last three episodes and a Stan Lee cameo in Tuesday's "T.R.A.C.K.S.," it could be argued that the show ought to be increasing, not merely standing its ground at a 2 share, but the reality is that the multiple-week wait between each new episode since December can't help the show with non-DVR viewers.
