X-Men Days Of Future Past: New Photo Of Ian McKellen As Magneto

A new photo from X-Men: Days of Future Past has been released on Twitter. The photo is of Sir Ian McKellen as Magneto, standing in front of what looks to be the ruins of Washington D.C. McKellen played Magneto in the original trilogy of X-Men films and will reprise the role in the dystopian future of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Magneto was played by Michael Fassbender in the prequel, X-Men: First Class, who will continue to play the character, as he was in the 1970s, in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future. X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters May 23, 2014.
