Variety is reporting that Jai Courtney (Divergent, A Good Day To Die Hard) has been cast as Kyle Reese in the upcoming reboot of the Terminator franchise, Terminator: Genesis. Courtney joins a cast that already includes Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Tagaryan in Game of Thrones) as Sarah Conner, Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) as John Conner, and Arnold Schwarzenegger in his iconic role as the Terminator. Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) will direct. No plot details have been revealed for Terminator: Genesis as of yet, but in the original Terminator, Kyle Reese was the human sent back in time to protect Sarah Conner from the robot assassin. Terminator: Genesis is scheduled for theatrical release July 1, 2015.
