Wizard World and Marvel Comics have unveiled their latest Wizard World exclusive variant cover. The latest cover is a Daredevil #1 variant by industry veteran Michael Golden that will be available, for free, to VIP attendees of the Wizard World Louisville Comic Con, March 28-30, at the Kentucky International Convention Center. Golden will be in attendance to sign copies of the variants, and CGC will be on hand for grading. The colored versions of the Daredevil #1 variant will be limited to 3,000 copies. The black and white edition will be limited to just 2,500 copies, and will be available for sale at the Wizard World Store on the convention floor. Golden's Daredevil #1 is the fourth entry in the Wizard World series of convention exclusive Marvel Comics Variants. Daredevil #1 follows Miracleman #1 and Miracleman #2 variants by Neal Adams and a Wolverine #1 variant by Greg Horn. The next cover will be a David Mack variant to Wolverine and the X-Men #1, available at Wizard World St Louis Comic Con, April 4-6. "Having the entire Eisner-Award Winning Daredevil creative team back to help bring the series into All-New Marvel NOW! has been a real treat for us," says Marvel SVP, Sales & Marketing David Gabriel. "We're proud to partner with Wizard to commemorate the launch of this exciting new title by having the legendary Michael Golden contribute an exclusive variant." Golden is the co-creator of the X-Men's Rogue, Spartan X and Bucky O'Hare. He is known for his work on such series as The 'Nam, Micronauts, G.I. Joe Yearbook and Dr. Strange. "Michael is one of the most popular artists to attend Wizard World Comic Con events, as evidenced by his very well-attended 'Storytelling' panels and the lines of fans at his table." says John Macaluso, Wizard World CEO. "Daredevil #1 is a perfect addition to what has proven to be Marvel's very successful series at our shows." Daredevil #1 is written by Mark Waid with interior art by Chris Samnee. The series relaunches with Matt Murdock relocating to San Francisco following the shocking conclusion to his showdown with the Sons of the Serpent in New York.
