iZombie Casts Rose McIver In Lead Role

Rose McIver has been cast as the lead in The CW's iZombie television series, according to the Hollywood Reporter. McIver will play Liv, a medical school student who gets turned into a zombie. She gets a job in the Coroner's Office so that she can feed on the brains of those already dead, but when she does she absorbs the corpse's memories. Liv decides to use this bizarre side effect to help solve murder cases. The series is based on Chris Roberson and Michael Allred's Vertigo Comics series of the same name. Rob Thomas, creator of Veronica Mars, will helm the television adaptation. McIver is best known as the Yellow Power Ranger in Power Rangers: RPM. Her other works include The Lovely Bones and she can currently be seen on television in Once Upon a Time and Masters of Sex. McIver joins a cast that so far includes Robert Buckley, Malcolm Goodwin, Alexandra Krosney and David Anders.
