The Walking Dead Bi-Weekly

As part of the "All Out War" storyline, Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman took the Walking Dead comic book series to a bi-weekly publishing schedule. At the end of the "All Out War" storyline, it had been expected that The Walking Dead would revert back to a monthly publishing schedule. However, it turns out that might not be the case. In the letter column for The Walking Dead #123, a fan wrote in congratulating Kirkman on making The Walking Dead his favorite read every other Wednesday. The fan even mentioned that he might die when the series goes back to monthly. Skybound editorial director Sean Mackiewicz replied, "Maybe we won't just so you keep living!" While that tease in itself isn't enough to confirm that the series will stay bi-weekly, another reply in the letter column by Kirkman himself certainly suggests it's a possibility. In response to a fan asking about the creative process, Kirkman wrote, "I do have a rough outline for the next 200 issues or so, but I also come up with things on the fly and push storylines back to accommodate… all that time, that's how you get roughly 200 issues of story backlogged." So with Mackiewicz teasing that the series might not revert back to monthly and Kirkman with rough outlines for 200 issues, it certainly sounds like fans could be getting an ongoing bi-weekly Walking Dead series.
