Speaking to Collider, Agent Carter writers Markus and Stephen McFeely revealed that the Agent Carter television series hasn't actually been greenlit yet. ABC does have the script for the pilot, but nothing else has been set in motion. If the show is greenlit, it is envisioned as a limited series with 13 episodes at max, more in line with the upcoming Marvel shows on Netflix than with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and it would be set somewhere in the middle of the Agent Carter one-shot that was included with the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray. Of course, if the show did well enough, the character could be brought back for another miniseries. The writers also said that Haley Atwell, who portrayed Agent Peggy Carter in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is still very interested in reprising the lead role for the series. Howard Stark could also be a recurring character on the show, assuming Dominic Cooper was interested in reprising the role, but he wouldn't be a series regular. Agent Carter fans will just have to wait for the final word from ABC.
