Batman vs. Superman will begin filming outside of Yorkville, Illinois in mid-May, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The Yorkville area is where the Kent’s family farmhouse in Smallville was shot for Man of Steel. The farmhouse, built specifically for the film, was torn down after filming for Man of Steel was complete. It has been rebuilt on the same plot of land for the sequel.
Filming in the area was originally intended to begin in February, but the 10-month production delay pushed filming back into May. The majority of Batman vs. Superman is set to be shot in Detroit.
Batman vs. Superman is scheduled to arrive in theaters May 6, 2016.
