Marvel Studios have released a handful of promotional images from next week's episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., titled "Turn, Turn, Turn." While the images -- picked up via CBM -- don't actually show much in terms of spoilers, it's the episode summary that hints at a potentially major change in the status quo: "Turn, Turn, Turn" - Coulson and his team find themselves without anyone they can trust, only to discover that they are trapped with a traitor in their midst, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," Tuesday, April 8 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. The images, as many commenters have already noticed, don't feature Simmons or Ward, suggesting that the "traitor in their midst" might actually be closer than anyone would expect. Ward, of course, was mind-controlled last episode into nearly shooting his teammate and sometime-girlfriend Melinda May. Fitz also sees himself locked in the lab in most of these photos, suggesting that there's an outside chance that the traitor has either already gotten to him, or wants to isolate him from the rest of the group (or that he's the traitor, but that seems far less likely). A more likely scenario is that the agents in question have simply been left out of the shots in order to sow suspicion on the part of viewers and keep you guessing. With May apparently reporting directly to either Nick Fury or perhaps Jefferson Pierce, she could be misconstrued as a "traitor" when in fact she's just doing her job. Characters like Hand, Garrett and Triplett are also solid candidates, particularly Hand, who isn't entirely on the side of the angels in the comics. Check out the images below.
