Sons of Anarchy's Dave Erickson Tapped to Co-Write, Executive Produce Walking Dead Spinoff

AMC announced today that they have inked an overall deal with Sons of Anarchy writer/producer Dave Erickson. Besides staying on with the fan-favorite biker drama (which has a comic book adaptation from BOOM! Studios), has been engaged to co-write, along with series creator Robert Kirkman, and serve as an Executive Producer on the as-yet-untitled The Walking Dead companion series coming in 2015. Besides SoA, Erickson has also worked with AMC on Low Winter Sun, which starred The Walking Dead veteran Lennie James and Green Lantern villain Mark Strong. Little is known about the spinoff, except that it will feature a different group of survivors, and take place in a different location, than the current series but be set in the same world.
