Speaking to TV Guide, Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen – showrunners for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – hinted that more cameo appearances are in store for the show's final episodes of the season. "There will be some faces popping up," said Whedon. "You will be happy to see these faces pop up toward the end of the season," added Tancharoen. Whedon and Tancharoen were asked, specifically, if one of those cameos would be Nick Fury, who was reported to be "back" in the "End of the Beginning" episode. "It's the Marvel universe;" replied Tancharoen, "anything can happen. Can you believe I just said that?" The Agents are set to have their whole world turned upside down, given the events of "End of the Beginning" and the promise of big change in the Marvel Universe following the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, opening April 4. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesday nights on ABC.
