Even though Captain America: The Winter Soldier wasn't released in the U.S. until April 4, the film made its debut overseas as early as March 26. In just around twelve days of release at the international box office, Captain America: The Winter Soldier has accumulated $207.1 million at the international box office. When combined with the $96.2 million at the U.S. box office, Captain America: The Winter Soldier has made $303.3 million worldwide. Captain America: The Winter Solider is especially huge in China. The latest Marvel Studios blockbuster opened to $39.2 million in China. According to the Wall Street Journal, it was the biggest debut ever for Marvel and Disney in China. However, we remember reports of Iron Man 3 opening to $65 million in China, so there might be some confusion in the numbers. Still, whether it was a record for Disney or not, $39.2 million is a huge number for an American film at the Chinese box office.
