Star Wars Episode VII

While Disney has yet to announce the cast or even complete casting for Star Wars Episode VII, Lucasfilm is already shooting footage for the highly anticipated next Star Wars movie. In a video interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn surprisingly revealed that cameras were already rolling for Star Wars Episode VII. When Horn was asked if they started shooting in six weeks, Horn replied, "We're actually shooting some of it now." Horn continued, "We're up against it. But also it's the screenplay, because it has to be...you know, this is Episode VII, so there's IV, V, VI, and this is VII, so it takes off where VI left off, and where VI left off is 35 years ago." Horn added, "It's all about the screenplay. It has to be screenplay, screenplay, screenplay." When asked if the screenplay wasn't quite there yet, Horn replied, "It actually is now." In regards to casting, Horn revealed that they had a lot of the cast in place, but casting wasn't completely done yet. Star Wars Episode VII is scheduled to open in movie theaters on December 18, 2015.
