The CW Network have released the official description of April 30th's episode of Arrow, titled "City of Blood." You can see it below. In the episode, the battle for the city ramps up as Slade unleashes his Deathstroke army on the city. Laurel and Thea step back into the limelight again, while Diggle and Felicity attempt to keep Oliver from throwing in the towel and letting Slade kill him. It's written by Holly Harold, who served as a writer and producer on Smallville and The Forgotten, but is doing her first episode of Arrow. The director is Michael Schultz, who directed "The Scientist," this season's episode in which Barry Allen was introduced, but is arguably better known for projects like Krush Groove and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. And if you think Harold's Smallville resume is impressive, Schultz was the director of the 1987, made-for-TV movie The Spirit. Yep, Will Eisner's The Spirit. Anyway, here's the official description. The episode airs on Wednesday, April 30. "City of Blood" — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV) OLIVER CONSIDERS HIS OPTIONS AGAINST SLADE — After Slade (Manu Bennett) threatens to take everything Oliver (Stephen Amell) loves away, Oliver decides the fastest way to stop further bloodshed is to surrender to his enemy. Knowing that surrender will surely lead to Oliver's death, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) go to extreme measures to keep Oliver from confronting Slade. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) considers leaving town, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) resumes her crusade against Sebastian Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro). Finally, Slade unleashes his assault on Starling City. Michael Schultz directed the episode written by Holly Harold (#221).
