Fantastic Four Stars Might Not Wear Blue Suits In Film

The Fantastic Four may not be suiting up in the new Fantastic Four reboot film. Speaking to IGN, Kate Mara, who will play Susan Storm, said that she hasn't heard anything about a costume as of yet. "I don't know that there is a suit," said Mara. "People keep saying that to me, but I don't even know that there's a suit. Maybe there is. As of now I haven't tried on a suit." Mara mentions that they're starting in a few weeks, so if there is a suit they are cutting things pretty close on the fitting. She also mentions that they're making a "grounded" superhero movie, so the lack of costume may be a part of that theme. The Fantastic Four didn't actually put on their classic blue costumes until Fantastic Four #3, so, if they're planning on retelling the Fantastic Four's origin and showing their earliest days, then not having costumes would actually make the film more comic book accurate. Mara did seem a little bit out of the loop on the details of the film (she is currently doing press for Transcendence), so she may just not have heard about the costumes yet.
