Tatooine

Tatooine, the childhood home of Anakin and Luke Skywalker, will be one of the locales featured in Star Wars Episode VII, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The report says that J.J. Abrams and crew will recreate Tatooine as the desert planet was seen in previous episodes of the Star Wars saga. It has been expected that Tatooine would appear in Star Wars Episode VII following reports that the film would be shooting in Morocco, one of the two locations that were used for the filming of scenes on Tatooine in the original Star Wars trilogy (Tunisia was the other location). Remnants of the original Tatooine sets are said to be wasting away in Morocco still, so perhaps Abrams and his team will restore some of these abandoned sets to their original glory. Star Wars Episode VII comes to theaters December 18, 2015.
