Scalped

Jason Aaron and R.M. Guera's Vertigo Comics series, Scalped is being adapted into a television series, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Scalped is a crime noir comic set on a Native American reservation. The show will be scripted and executive produced by Doug Jung (Banshee) for Warner Horizon Television. The series will air on WGN America. Scalped debuted in 2007 and followed the denizens of a fictional reservation in South Dakota. The series juxtaposes the strong sense of cultural identity held by those living on the reservation with the corrupting influence of organized crime. The series concluded after 60 issues of nearly universal critical acclaim. Scalped is just the latest DC Comics property to be slated for a television adaptation, following The Flash, Constantine, iZombie, Preacher and DMZ.
