The Walking Dead Escape Is Partnering With Special Effects Guru Greg Nicotero

Atlanta is home of The Walking Dead, and The Walking Dead Escape makes its first appearance in downtown Atlanta at Philips Arena on Saturday, May 31st.  Just announced, The Walking Dead Escape is partnering with  Greg Nicotero (zombie genius, Executive Producer and Director of AMC's The Walking Dead) and Nictoero's company, KNB EFX, to supply special effects makeup for The Walking Dead Escape. "The Walking Dead Escape is something that's been an absolute massive hit for us," Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman told EW. "It was immensely popular at New York Comic Con and San Diego Comic Con, and now we're going wide with it. It's a fun way to spend the afternoon, especially if you're a big Walking Dead fan. It's an experience unlike anywhere else. You can live the kind of things you see in the comics and show and go to a place and get chased by zombies. Or go to a place and watch your friends get chased by zombies. And nobody gets eaten, which is the best of both worlds!" Participants can either get involved as a Survivor or a Walker.  Survivors navigate an obstacle course full of walkers, ready to trounce.  On the other hand, Walkers arrive two hours early for some zombie-training and special effects make-up to prepare them to gorge on some survivors.  This all takes place in Atlanta's Philips Arena, which will be made to appear that the apocalypse has once again struck downtown Atlanta!
