got off to a strong start on Thursday at the U.S. box office with late night showing bringing in $8.1 million. On Friday (including the Thursday night numbers), X-Men: Days of Future Past scored a $36 million opening day. It was the third best opening day of 2014 so far at the U.S. box office, trailing only Godzilla and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Current estimates call for a $110 million four day opening weekend for X-Men: Days of Future Past at the U.S. box office. As strong as the U.S. box office debut was for X-Men: Days of Future Past, the international debut was even better. In its opening weekend in 100 international markets, X-Men: Days of Future Past brought in $171.08 million. When combined with the U.S. box office, X-Men: Days of Future Past has accumulated $261.78 million at the worldwide box office in only four days. X-Men: Days of Future Past is already the ninth highest grossing movie of 2014 at the worldwide box office, passing by Godzilla, which opened last weekend.
