Harrison Ford Expected To Miss Eight Weeks of Star Wars Episode VII Shooting

Star Wars Episode VII star Harrison Ford will miss as many as eight weeks of shooting following an on-set ankle injury last week, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Ford reportedly fractured his ankle when the door of the Millennium Falcon closed on it unexpectedly.

There are additional reports that Ford may have suffered a minor pelvic injury and required a chest X-ray following the fall.

Ford was taken to a hospital after injuring his ankle on Thursday, but shooting will continue in his absence. THR's source added that Episode VII is still expected to make its Dec. 18, 2015 release date.
