Starting yesterday, BOOM! Studios announced that they would be rolling out 15 announcements, one for every weekday (except for July 4th) leading up to Comic-Con International in San Diego, which starts July 23rd.

The first such announcement? Former BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Mark Waid, who wrote Irredeeemable and Incorruptible for the publisher, will return with a new series soon.

You can see the video below (transcript below that for those not in the U.S. or otherwise locked by YouTube), in which he seemingly suggests that we'll see more details about the series at Comic Con International: San Diego.

"Recently, [BOOM!] came to me with the opportunity to do a new, creator-owned series," Waid says in the video interview embedded above. "One with a dear friend of mine -- one of the most revered artists in comics and somebody I've wanted to work with for a long time but never have. And they've given us the freedom to tell a story that is quite honestly pretty dangerous and not the kind of thing I think any other comic company would touch."
