The Legion of Super-Heroes will appear in Jeff Lemire's upcoming Justice League United Annual #1, Nerdist announced yesterday.

Due in stores in October, the story will see the Legion having traveled back to the present day with the news that their time period has been destroyed. What that means for Justice League 3000 is anybody's guess.

There's a lot of time-travel going on at DC Comics right now, with their The New 52: Futures End series taking place mostly five years into the future, in a tale that may or may not be inevitable. Those "five years later" stories are there so that Batman Beyond can try to help prevent an even worse future happening thirty years later.

You can check out the solicitation text for Justice League United Annual #1 below.
