Earlier today, we reported on the Entertainment Weekly cover reveal that gave us our first real look at Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

As noted in the article, there seems to be an army of Ultron drones following behind the villainous robot. A closer inspection reveals that one, in the top-right corner of the cover, has something to say.

"Domo arigato."

For those a little too young to get the joke, "domo arigato" is the Japanese phrase meaning "thank you very much." It's presence on the EW cover is likely a reference to the song "Mr. Roboto" by Styx, from their 1983 album Kilroy Was Here.

The album is a rock opera, and the song tells the part of the story where Kilroy escapes imprisonment by hiding inside the hollowed out body of one of the robots used to do menial labor in his prison. The line "domo arigato, Mr. Roboto" is Kilroy thanking the robot for helping him escape.

The song was pretty catchy, and often comes to mind when dealing with robots, which is likely how it ended up on the cover.

I'm sure the joke is much funnier now that I've explained it for you. You're welcome.
