The Walking Dead Season 5 Premieres On October 12

As part of their panel at 2014 San Diego Comic-Con International, AMC has officially announced that The Walking Dead Season 5 will premiere on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 9 PM ET.

The Walking Dead Season 5 stars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Melissa McBride, Emily Kinney, Danai Gurira, Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, Lawrence Gillard Jr., Michael Cudlitz, Alanna Masterson, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Andrew J. West, Denise Crosby, and Seth Gilliam.

Scott Gimple returns as showrunner for The Walking Dead Season 5, along with executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, Greg Nicotero and Tom Luse.

Following The Walking Dead Season 5 premiere will be the season premiere of AMC's live after show, Talking Dead, hosted by Chris Hardwick at 10 PM ET/PT. AMC's The Walking Dead is the first original cable series ever to end the broadcast TV season as the number one show in delivery for adults 18-49.
