Avengers: Age of Ultron footage

Because there was no after the credits scene in Guardians of the Galaxy press screenings, the Internet has been buzzing about what the big secret scene could be. Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has confirmed that there will definitely be a stinger scene, but he has stated that they wanted to save it for fans who see the movie on the first day in theaters around the world.

Because Guardians of the Galaxy is premiering shortly after San Diego Comic-Con International, there had been some speculation that Comic-Con fans might get a first peek at the stinger scene. However, other than the official announcement that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 would be released on July 28, 2017, the Marvel Studios panel at Comic-Con focused on the 2015 releases Ant-Man and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

However, this led to fan speculation that maybe the Avengers: Age of Ultron footage shown at Comic-Con would actually be the after-the-credits scene for Guardians of the Galaxy. But director James Gunn, who is particularly active on social media, quickly dispelled this rumor.

When asked by a fan point plank if he could confirm or deny that the Avengers: Age of Ultron footage shown at Comic-Con was the Guardians of the Galaxy bonus scene, Gunn replied, "It is NOT." Gunn also added in another tweet replying to a similar question, "No. I shot the tag on my film."
