Avengers Vs. Batman V. Superman

While Avengers: Age of Ultron might be beating Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice to the movie theaters by a year, Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice won the 2014 Comic-Con battle in online buzz.

According to research group Way to Blue, Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice received 112,108 overall mentions online compared to only 62,542 overall mentions online for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice was the huge victor by almost a two to one margin.

Of course, Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice was likely aided by revealing the first look at Gal Gadot in her Wonder Woman costume, while Marvel Studios played it fairly conservative in their superhero reveals. Did they really think that just showing the back of The Vision could compare to showing the front of Wonder Woman?

However, it's not all bad news for Marvel Studios. When it comes to Intent-To-View mentions, Avengers: Age of Ultron came out on top. Avengers: Age of Ultron had 8,483 (14%) Intent-To-View mentions, while Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice had 8,356 (7%) Intent-to-View mentions in comparison.

Of course, Marvel Studios showed more footage of Avengers: Age of Ultron, then Warner Bros. showed of Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. A lot of Marvel Studios mentions were probably people reacting to watching the Avengers: Age of Ultron, while Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice mentions could have centered more around the Wonder Woman costume.
