The Walking Dead Bonus Clip Looks At Hershel's Death

AMC has released a behind-the-scenes look at one of the key scenes from the fourth season of The Walking Dead, the death of Hershel (via THR).

The featurette, which is included with the season's Blu-ray release, has showrunner Scott Gimple equated Hershel's death to the death of civilization.

Star Andrew Lincoln reflects on what that death means for his character, Rick Grimes.

"Just as [Rick] thinks it's all lost, he sees Hershel with a kind of serenity on his face," Lincoln explains. "As soon as it happens, there is no way back."

"He has to become that violent leader again," adds producer Gale Anne Hurd.
