Homer Simpson Takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, With Cameos From Familiar Frozen and Star Wars Faces

Homer Simpson, the dim-witted patriarch of the long-running animated sitcom The Simpsons, took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in a new viral video released straight to Fox's Animation Domination YouTube channel.

After the water is dumped on him, Homer gets bombarded with wintry characters and props, including a creature from The Empire Strikes Back and Frozen's snowman Olaf.

Now the longest-running scripted show in television history, THE SIMPSONS reside in the town of Springfield. HOMER (Dan Castellaneta) works as a safety inspector at the local nuclear power plant; MARGE (Julie Kavner) tries to keep the peace in her family; BART (Nancy Cartwright) is the mischievous 10-year-old hellion; eight-year-old LISA (Yeardley Smith) is the intelligent, saxophone-playing, vegetarian member of the family; and baby MAGGIE conveys emotions via pacifier sucks.

The Simpsons is currently airing in a non-stop marathon of every episode -- the first time this has happened -- on FXX.
