Over at The Hollywood Reporter, they got a first look at the preview for Arrow Season 2.5 #1 from writers Marc Guggenheim and Keto Shimizu and artist Joe Bennett...and along with it, some interesting news about the way the comic will play out.

Turns out, the Suicide Squad is headed to Black Adam's homeland of Khandaq as part of a mission statement for the comic to do things that you can't do on even a generously-budgeted basic cable series.

"We're doing a Suicide Squad runner throughout the series, one or two pages each issue, that will lead to its own episode later in the run," Shimizu said in the interview. "In that situation, we're able to go to places we've not visited in the show — to the fictional DC Comics country of Khandaq, which we could never re-create in Vancouver."

Arrow: Season 2.5 #1 will launch digitally on Monday, with biweekly issues and a print edition both of the month's digital issues launching in October.
