Death of Wolverine writer Charles Soule has signed an exclusive contract with Marvel Comics, as revealed by USA Today and confirmed by Marvel.

In addition to writing Death of Wolverine, and the upcoming followup Death of Wolverine: The Weapon X Project, Soule also writes the ongoing She-Hulk and Inhuman series for Marvel.

Soule has been writing Superman/Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing, and Red Lanterns for DC Comics (as well as his creator owned series, Letter 44, at Oni Press). Peter Tomasi was already announced as taking over for Soule on Superman/Wonder Woman. We reached out to DC Comics for more information on who will be replacing Soule on the other two titles, but the publisher declined to comment at press time.

Marvel also released a preview of the first issue of Death of Wolverine, included below.

UPDATE: A spokesperson from DC Entertainment has confirmed that Soule will remain on Red Lanterns & Swamp Thing until March 2015.
