Lady Gaga Gets ANOTHER Comic Book Treatment, Courtesy of Bluewater!

After having a banner year in 2009, pop icon Lady Gaga is off to a fast and furious start, this time with another, more wide-spread, comic book adaptation in the works.  Unlike the previously announced comic book project focusing on Lady Gaga, this comic, courtesy of Bluewater Productions, the company famous for its line of “Female Force” comic biographies, will launch a new line of books titled “Fame”.  The project will focus on the life stories of noted entertainment personalities, and Gaga’s story will be the first produced.  Free Comic Book Day, May 5th this year, will be the release date for the book, and Bluewater’s president, Darren G. Davis, had nothing but enthusiasm for this new line. Read more

Stephenie Meyer Steps Through the Twilight in her own Comic Book!

Bluewater Productions is at it again!  The company that has brought you comic books based on the lives of Michelle Obama and other members of their Female Force line is back with a comic book based on Stephenie Meyer, the author of the runaway hit Twilight Saga book and now film series.  Details of the comic are expected to focus on her early life and subsequent meteoric rise to fame as the author of the series, focusing on the complicated worlds of Bella and Edward, a teenage girl and a vampire.   Read more

In the wake of the sudden and tragic death of pop music mega-star Michael Jackson, Bluewater Productions has announced the October release of Tribute: Michael Jackson, King of Pop.  Comic book readers may have heard of Bluewater’s other projects, such as the announced release of Female Force, a series of comics focusing on women such as Michelle Obama and Sarah Palin, and a comic book focusing on the life of noted tv personality, Oprah Winfrey.   Read more

Even President Barack Obama’s Dog Has His Own Comic Book

You’ve probably heard of Superman’s dog, Krypto. You may have even heard of Batman’s Dog, Ace the Bat-Hound. Now, get ready for the latest canine sensation in comic books. Yes, President Barack Obama’s dog Bo is getting his own comic book.

In a weird kind of way it makes sense. Both President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have already had their own comic books. One might expect the Obama children to be next to get their own comic book, but after the uproar over the beanie babies of the Obama children, the kids are likely off-limits.

That leaves First Dog Bo Obama and Vice-President Joe Biden as potential comic book stars, and they are both getting their own comic books from Bluewater Productions.  How embarrassing for VP Biden will it be if the First Dog’s comic book sells better?
