The American flag is used on many a comic book cover. Earlier this week, Comicbook.com selected our choices for the Top 10 Most Patriotic Comic Book Covers. Many of the covers we selected included an American flag in their design. For this Fourth of July, Comicbook.com decided to focus exclusively on covers that included the American flag in their design, and we selected our Top 10 American Flag Comic Book Covers. Judge Dredd Movie In The Works

Judge Dredd is one of Britain’s best known comic book characters.  Judge Dredd was created by writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra, and he first appeared in the second issue of 2000 AD comic magazine in 1977.

Judge Dredd is a law enforcement officer of the future, who lives in a violent city called Mega-City One.  Because much of the world has been damaged by conflicts, judges in Mega-City One have the authority to act as police, judge, jury and executioner.  Judge Dredd carries a handgun called his “Lawgiver,” and he is fond of telling criminals, “I am the law!”

While there already was a Judge Dredd movie made back in 1995, we would prefer to think there wasn’t.  The movie starred Sylvester Stallone and was a critical and commercial flop.
