Megan Fox as Catwoman in the Next Dark Knight Film?
August is almost up, and I don’t think we’ve seen a crazy casting rumor regarding the next Dark Knight film just yet. But don’t worry–the Sun is reporting that Megan Fox will be the next Catwoman.
Granted, the Sun is kinda like the overseas version of The National Enquirer, so you should probably take that rumor with a grain of salt. Just like previous rumors of Eddie Murphy as the Riddler or Cher as Catwoman, we figure this Fox rumor will get disspelled–and soon.
Why? Because Fox is quickly becoming the female version of NIcolas Cage. Two Transformers films already, Jonah Hex is in the can, and she’s slated to star in Fathom. As hot (looks and career-wise) as she is, she’s borderline-over exposing herself to a key demographic–the comic book fanboy.
Comic Book fans can turn on a character or an actor/actress in a heartbeat, and Fox would be no exception. If they think they’ve seen enough of her, they’ll vote with their feet. Something tells me that Fox’s agent/handler knows this.
Besides, we don’t think the rumor is true anyway.
Megan Fox Talks Transformers 2, Jonah Hex
‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ opens today in theaters and Craveonline sat down with star Megan Fox. Here are some highlights:
On what the original ‘Transformers’ film did for her career:
I think the movie, its success and how well it was received has opened a lot of doors for me career wise and I’ve been able to be a part of some films that I don’t really feel like I deserve to be a part of and that due greatly in part or solely to the success of Transformers. I just did Jonah Hex with Josh Brolin and Michael Fassbender and John Malkovich. People in general, just actors don’t get those kinds of opportunities. For me to have that is a huge blessing and that’s because of the success of this movie.
About her character in ‘Jonah Hex’, the film she’s currently shooting:
I think they’re naming her Leila now. She’s sort of a twisted love interest to Brolin’s character, to Jonah. She’s a prostitute that he goes to see often.
Regarding the rumors that she’s been offered to be the next Lara Croft:
No. That’s a complete rumor. I haven’t been offered that. No one has even spoken to me about doing that yet.

Five Actresses Who We’d Like To See Play Lara Croft (and Megan Fox isn’t one of them)
With the recent announcement of a ‘Tomb Raider’ reboot, the casting rumors have started to fly. Megan Fox, the lovely starlet of the ‘Transformers’ Franchise, appears to be the leading candidate for the Lara Croft job.
We think there are at least five other women that should get a shot over Fox. Why? Read more
Dear Megan, You’re No Scarlett
“Transformers2″ and “Jonah Hex” star Megan Fox recently made headlines by calling out fellow hottie Scarlett Johannson (Iron Man 2):
“I don’t want to have to be like a Scarlett Johansson - who I have nothing against. But I don’t want to have to go on talkshows and pull out every single SAT word I’ve every learned to prove, like, ‘Take me seriously, I am intelligent, I can speak’. Read more
Megan Fox To Appear In Pair Of Comic Book Movies
According to the Hollywood Reporter, actress Megan Fox is preparing to star in a pair of upcoming movies based on comic book series. Fox is in final negotiations with Warner Bros. and DC Comics to star in a feature film version of the Western comic, Jonah Hex. If all goes according to plan, Fox will play Leila, the gun toting love interest of the title character. Oscar nominee Josh Brolin will play Jonah Hex, a disfigured bounty hunter who roams the Old West.
According to the report, the movie will follow Hex as he tracks down a Confederate sympathizer, played by John Malkovich, who uses voodoo to raise an army of zombies in hopes of liberating the South. The film will start filming sometime in April. Horton Hears A Who director Jimmy Hayward will helm the project.
