If you haven’t been watching The Super Hero Squad Show on the Cartoon Network, then you’ve been missing out on a really fun show. Tonight also might be a good night to jump onboard, because the X-Men will be making an appearance in an all-new episode.

The best thing about the red carpet for movie premieres is that a lot of other juicy news gets leaked.  Case in point: While talking to a MySpace crew, Bryan Singer revealed that he will direct ‘X-Men: First Class.’

“I’m ramping up to do a movie called ‘Jack the Giant Killer’ at Warner Bros, and I just yesterday signed a deal to do an ‘X-Men: First Class Origins’ picture, which is kind of cool.  I’m very excited.”

Seeing that the film will follow the original X-Men (Angel, Beast, Cyclops, Iceman and  Jean Grey), we’re assuming that this will be a true origins film and disregard the three previous X-Men films.
