Bryan Singer to Direct ‘X-Men: First Class’
The best thing about the red carpet for movie premieres is that a lot of other juicy news gets leaked. Case in point: While talking to a MySpace crew, Bryan Singer revealed that he will direct ‘X-Men: First Class.’
“I’m ramping up to do a movie called ‘Jack the Giant Killer’ at Warner Bros, and I just yesterday signed a deal to do an ‘X-Men: First Class Origins’ picture, which is kind of cool. I’m very excited.”
Seeing that the film will follow the original X-Men (Angel, Beast, Cyclops, Iceman and Jean Grey), we’re assuming that this will be a true origins film and disregard the three previous X-Men films.

Here, in no particular order, are ten of the most memorable and, pardon the pun, earth-shaking disasters and crises to hit the comic book populace. Read more
Jack Kirby’s Family Seeks to Reclaim Rights From Disney, Marvel
Acclaimed comic book artist Jack Kirby was responsible for co-creating some of the most memorable characters in comic book history, as well as illustrating some of its iconic and classic battles. Times, the late Kirby’s four children have filed what has been referred to as “notice of copyright termination” for 45 characters to companies such as Marvel Entertainment, Disney, Universal Pictures, the owners of Hulk distribution rights, and 20th Century Fox, owners of the movie rights to distribute X-Men and Fantastic Four films. The battle between the Dark Avengers, the Dark X-Men and the Uncanny X-Men comes screaming into full daylight with the final and concluding issue of the Utopia storyline, Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Exodus. Matt Fraction crafts an exciting and crackling ending to a story that can arguably be said to be the best of the Dark Reign tie-ins and stories thus far. Disney Marvel Acquisition Nightmares
I woke up Monday morning to read the news that Disney was acquiring Marvel, and while I guess this could be a good thing for the future of Marvel Comics, I’m also a little bit scared. I couldn’t help but immediately envision the following Disney Marvel acquisition nightmares.
