I hope your coffee table has sturdy legs, because it will need them to support The TMNT Action Figure Encyclopedia.

The book, which is the brainchild of superfan Jay Lawrence. is currently gaining steam on Kickstarter. Lawrence had the ambitious goal of creating the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure book ever made. However, over the course of three years of research, the project spiraled out of control and may end up earning a Guinness record for sheer nerdiness. He writes:

I have been a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures, series, and franchise since my mother sat me in front of an episode as a kid. This is not just any ordinary book. In fact, if successful, it will be the most extensive action figure book ever. The final print will have over 5000 figures, weapons, vehicles, figure packages, and accessories. I also want to submit the final massive book for a possible Guinness book world record. So this will not only be the first and only TMNT action figure book but the largest and most extensive action figure book ever.

The book covers TMNT action figure series from 1988 to 2017, complete with detailed descriptions and front and back images of the figures with the associated packaging and advertisements.

Lawrence notes that the book is already complete, and was made with the assistance of the TMNT collecting community to make sure that no stone was unturned. Given the scale of this book, I think it's safe to say that this was a passion project. Speaking to The Verge, Lawrence noted that his own Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figure collection dwindled after the passing of his father, which was a period when his family moved around quite a bit. "This book will bring back many memories of all of those long lost figures of the past," he said. Clearly, he hopes that readers will get the same nostalgic vibes.

If you're interested, copies of the book are available for $50 during the Kickstarter campaign, which seems like quite a bargain for all of the time and effort that went into it. Lawrence hopes to ship copies of the book by December 2017 if the project reaches its $58,000 goal. At the time of writing, The TMNT Action Figure Encyclopedia is well within striking distance of that target.
