Supergirl is fitting right in at her new CW network home. That is especially apparent in The CW's newly released Supergirl teaser trailer.

The trailer shows her interaction with The Flash from their Worlds Finest team-up episode, but many fans are excited for the possibilities of more character team-ups in the future. It brings a nice balance to the lineup, as Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow tend to deal with slightly darker themes (especially in Arrow's case) while The Flash provides more of the levity. Now with Supergirl, Flash has a partner in that regard.

As to what we can expect in season 2, there isn't much new information since the transition to The CW was announced, but we can go on some previous musings from co-creator Andrew Kreisberg. In season 1 they've certainly embraced the more comic book roots of the property, and that will not change in season 2.

"I think the one thing that The Flash taught us, that we were certainly a little more cautious of in the beginning with Arrow is to really embrace what this thing is. The Flash is The Flash. As Geoff Johns said to me once, "This is the most DC DC thing that there's ever been." It's got time travel and the Reverse Flash and Grodd and Captain Cold. It is the comic book come to life, and we didn't learn that lesson as early on on Arrow. Once we had Deathstroke on in the second season, we started to embrace that. With Supergirl, once we had the success that we've had on The Flash, we just kind of have done the same thing. That's why we've had the Hellgrammite and we've had Reactron and we've had Maxwell Lord and we have Red Tornado coming up. It's as much the world of Supergirl come to life as there possibly could be. I think that's more what's been servicing us."

Kreisberg continued: "I think as far as having other heroes on the show, we have plans for stuff like that and people will have to sort of see how that stuff unfolds, but we're packing Supergirl with the same level of fealty and alchemy that we did The Flash."

Supergirl season 2 will return to its Monday timeslot for season 2 later this year.
