What Tyler Hoechlin Could Look Like As Superman On Supergirl Season 2

Supergirl will kick off its next season with an appearance from her iconic cousin, Superman, which will be played by actor Tyler Hoechlin.

Artist extraordinaire BossLogic used the occasion to imagine what Hoechlin could look like in the part, and released his vision on Twitter, saying: "Back from Supanova got to finally make the @TylerL_Hoechlin #Superman for @supergirlcbs"

If this is the Superman presented onscreen when fall comes around, consider me sold. The suit is a nice blending of the film universe's color palette and the TV universe's more stylized designs.

The actor is excited to get started, though ironically it's the man behind the powers that he's more interested in playing, saying: "I think the fun is going to be finding where Clark Kent is in this world. I'm just excited to find out Clark's sense of humor."

When asked to compare his rendition of Superman to Henry Cavill's, who has played Superman twice now in Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Hoechlin declined, saying: "I never try to compare and contrast performances because it's such an iconic character already. Superman is Superman so I'm just going to try to carry on the tradition of that and play that part."

Supergirl returns for its season two premiere on Monday, October 17th at 8pm.
