New Preacher Clips: Jesse & Cassidy Go Shirtless

AMC has released a two more clips from this Sunday's "Sundowner" episode of Preacher.

In the first sneak peek, which takes place shortly after Fiore and DeBlanc have informed Jesse that the powerful entity inside of him is Genesis (the offspring of an angel and a demon), the preacher rushes out of the diner when he sees the mysterious men from Heaven stomping on a woman. In the second sneak peek, Jesse and Cassidy -- who are both shirtless -- explain the tattoos on their bodies while they clean their blood-stained clothes.

The episode's official description reads: "Jesse finally comes face to face with Deblanc and Fiore and learns about the mysterious entity that has taken over his body."

Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name, "Preacher" is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex -girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of charact ers from heaven, hell and everywhere in between.

The series stars Dominic Cooper ("Captain America: The First Avenger," "Need for Speed") as Jesse Custer, Ruth Negga ("World War Z," "The Samaritan") as Tulip, Joseph Gilgun ("This is England," "Lockout") as Cassidy, Lucy Griffiths ("Winter's Tale," "Robin Hood") as Emily, Earl W. Brown ("The re's Something About Mary," "Scream") as Sheriff Root, Ian Colletti ("Ph oe be in Wonde rland," "Baby Momma") as Eugene and Derek Wilson ( "Rectify ") as Donnie Schenck.

"Preacher" was developed for television by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg ("This Is the End," "Superbad," "Neighbors") and showrunner Sam Catli n ("Breaking Bad"). Rogen, Goldberg and Catlin will executive produce along with James Weaver, Neal Moritz, Vivian Cannon, Ori Marmur, Matt Tauber, Ken Levin and Jason Netter. Co -executive producers include Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon.

The sixth episode of Preacher, "Sundowner," will air Sunday, July 3 at 9|8c on AMC.
