It looks like The CW's annual DC Television crossover event is in production. Arrow star Stephen Amell tweeted a new photo from the set that seems to show a foot-level view of himself in costume as Green Arrow hanging out with The Flash star Grant Gustin, Supergirl star Melissa Benoist, and Caity Lotz and Brandon Routh, White Canary and the Atom from DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

Little is known about this year's crossover event. The CW has made it a yearly tradition since The Flash first spun off of Arrow. Last year the crossover served as an introduction to the characters featured in Legends of Tomorrow Season 1. This year, the crossover welcomes Supergirl into the mix, as the show makes its way from CBS to The CW for its second season.
As far as plot goes, it's unclear if the "Flashpoint" event occurring in The Flash will play into the crossover. We do know that "Flashpoint" will have some effect on Arrow, but that it won't last for the entirety of The Flash Season 3. With that in mind, such a mighty gathering of heroes – especially one that crosses universal boundaries to reach Supergirl, and one that may be filming earlier than we expected based on this photo – would make for an appropriately epic finale to the universe-altering storyline.
Even producer Greg Berlanti doesn't seem entirely sure about what to expect from this year's crossover, but he did hint that he's looking to challenge the collected heroes of Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow with a singular and equally threatening antagonist.
The CW's new season of DC superhero television kicks off with The Flash Season 3 premiere episode "Flashpoint, airing Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
