Suicide Squad was met with divisiveness from critics when it initially released, but that didn't seem to keep the film from netting over $700 million at the worldwide box office. With numbers like those, you can bet a sequel is at least being considered, and if it does happen Katana actress Karen Fukuhara is up for it.

The actress shared what she would like to see further explored in a potential sequel during the Suicide Squad panel at Rose City Comic Con (via 411 Mania).

"I would love that," she said about the possibility of reprising the role. "For the first movie I think we did a really good job of showing snippets of each character's past and history, but it was just a glimpse. And for the sequel I'd like to show a lot more about her relationship with Soultaker, her sword, and her relationship with her husband and where she came from."

Fukuhara was well received in the Katana role, but her screen time was rather limited. It's understandable when you have so many characters to cover within the timeframe of one film. She impressed in the time she did have, though, and hopefully, the producers and David Ayer will further explore the soultaker aspect of her character. Granted, that is if Ayer decides to return for the sequel.
