David Ayer's quirky little offshoot of the main DCEU continuity, better known as Suicide Squad, has been breaking all the box-office records domestically and globally.

Even though the movie was met with much divisiveness from both critics and fans, numbers don't lie and neither does money.

According to Box Office Mojo, Suicide Squad has knocked Marvel's Iron Man out of the 50th spot, joining the ranks of 50 highest grossing domestic movies of all time.

Move over, Tony Stark - Deadshot and Harley are here now.

To put things into perspective, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is holding on strong at number 46 with $330,360,194, but Guardians of the Galaxy is still winning at number 45 with $333,176,600.

If everyone could just go out and see Suicide Squad a few more times, it might be able to take down Optimus Prime in the first Transformers movie as well - which is desperately hanging on a number 49.

So far, the anti-heroes have made $318,584,857 domestically and a whopping $731 million and some change internationally, a few spots ahead of Captain America: Winter Soldier.

Either way, having this many comic book inspired movies so high up on the list is a distinct win for everyone in the industry.

In the meantime, we'll see where Suicide Squad lands once it's completely out of theaters, but considering it's one of the must profitable films of an otherwise lackluster summer, that might not be for a while yet.

With profits this high, you can be sure to expect a sequel to be announced shortly. With that said, here are are five villains we'd like to see in Suicide Squad 2.

Suicide Squad is now playing in theaters worldwide.
