The DC Extended Universe is continuing its growth each and every year, and the world's biggest stars have been joining the franchise.
The addition of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been possibly the most talked-about casting, as the actor has become the most recognizable actor around the globe. The Rock will be playing villain Black Adam, but that has really been the only news the potential 2019 Shazam! movie has gotten.
Today, the executives over at DC helped ease the minds of fans, as the company sat down to meet with the producers of the movie. After the meeting, one of these producers teased nothing but good things ahead.
Hiram Garcia has acted as a producer for many of The Rock's films, including Furious 7, Jumanji, and Baywatch. This tweet was posted on Tuesday night, as Garcia had just gotten out of a meeting with DC executives. Not only does this mean the movie is definitely happening, but his comments mean great things are on the way.
He said big things were ahead, which could have just been a reference to the making of the film. It could, however, have meant that some kind of big news could be coming soon. Maybe, the casting of Shazam won't be too far off.
Either way, it was nice to see the prodcuer end the tweet with the character's signature tag-line, "Just Say The Word".
Shazam! is definitely happening folks, and it's going to be one hell of a ride. The film is expected to hit theaters on April 5, 2019.
