Just days after the announcement that Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman star Teri Hatcher will join Supergirl as the season's big bad, another '90s TV icon will also be menacing National City.
Hercules: The Legendary Journeys star and geek legend Kevin Sorbo is headed back to the small screen to appear on Supergirl as well.
"Since his days as Hercules, Kevin Sorbo has brought such a strong presence to the screen and we couldn't be more excited to have him join us on Supergirl," said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg.
Besides Hercules, Sorbo is known for his roles in Kull the Conqueror, Andromeda, and The O.C.
There's no word on who he might be playing, or whether his mysterious character is associated with Teri Hatcher's mysterious character in any way. It seems likely, particularly on The CW, where most shows skew pretty young and the two stars, who are about 20 years older than most of the actors on Supergirl, were cast so close together.
That will no doubt lead to speculation that the pair could be two of the robed, masked aliens who are hunting Mon-El, first seen in the midseason finale, "Medusa."
