Aquaman's Patrick Wilson Opens Up About Orm In New Q&A

Patrick Wilson's casting in the upcoming Aquaman was met with excitement by many fans of the DC Cinematic Universe. It's safe to say that the actor, who is set to play the title character's brother, Orm the Ocean Master, has embraced the fan response, if a new Twitter Q&A is any indication.

The actor, who is reportedly running in the Michael J. Fox NYC half-marathon this weekend, took a bit of time to answer fan questions. This led to Wilson revealing several tidbits about Aquaman, which is currently in production. The actor even revealed that Orm, or as he called him, 'Silver Boobs McGee', is his "favorite kind of character to play."

Aquaman will center on Aquaman as a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface. Jason Momoa will play Aquaman. Also starring is Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm/Ocean Master, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta.

James Wan will direct Aquaman from a screenplay written by Will Beall, based on a treatment by Wan and DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns. Albert Cho is 1st AD. Producers are Jon Berg, Geoff Johns, Peter Safran, Deborah Snyder, and Zack Snyder. Rob Cowan will serve as executive producer.

Aquaman is scheduled to hit theaters on October 5, 2018.
